Product Owner

Role Overview

Senior IT Product Owner / SME for Global E‑Invoicing (Oracle and SAP). Own end-to-end enterprise electronic invoicing capabilities, acting as a primary technology and regulatory authority. This is a hands-on SME role requiring deep knowledge of global e‑invoicing mandates, compliance models, and audit-ready delivery.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the enterprise owner and SME for global e‑invoicing across Oracle and SAP environments.
• Translate complex regulatory requirements (e.g., clearance models, real-time reporting, continuous transaction controls) into scalable technology solutions.
• Partner with Tax, Finance, Legal, and Compliance and external auditors to maintain statutory compliance and audit readiness.
• Lead regulatory-driven technology initiatives, balancing urgent compliance needs with long-term architecture.
• Drive solution design decisions, platform standardization, and vendor integrations for e‑invoicing.
• Govern integrations between e‑invoicing platforms, ERP systems, tax engines, and downstream financial applications.
• Provide escalation support for regulatory, design, and delivery decisions.
• Monitor regulatory changes across EMEA and other regions and advise on required system updates.
• Mentor delivery teams to ensure consistent e‑invoicing standards across regions and platforms.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT experience supporting invoicing, tax, or financial compliance systems in large global enterprises.
• Deep expertise in global e‑invoicing regulations, including clearance models, real-time reporting, CTC frameworks, and digital tax mandates (strong EMEA exposure).
• Hands-on experience implementing and integrating e‑invoicing solutions with Oracle and/or SAP ERP.
• Experience acting as Product Owner, Functional Lead, or SME for regulatory-driven technology initiatives.
• Strong understanding of audit, compliance, and statutory reporting for invoicing and taxation.
• Ability to work effectively in compliance-critical, fast-changing environments while delivering enterprise-grade scalable solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills to influence across IT, Finance, Tax, and Compliance leadership.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting multi-country/global e‑invoicing rollouts.
• Familiarity with third-party e‑invoicing / tax compliance platforms.
• Experience transitioning from contract to full-time ownership roles.
