Product Owner

Role Overview

The IT Product Owner – Payroll, Time & Labor will own and evolve the Payroll and Time & Labor technology landscape. You will ensure reliable, compliant, and scalable delivery of payroll and workforce management capabilities while acting as the primary IT partner to HR, Finance, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for Payroll and Time & Labor platforms, balancing enhancements, compliance, and operational stability.
• Serve as the primary IT liaison to Payroll, HR, Finance, and business teams; translate business needs into prioritized technology solutions.
• Lead platform enhancements, integrations, and production support for UKG and TRESS.
• Drive backlog prioritization, release planning, and delivery using an agile or hybrid model.
• Manage vendors and integration partners supporting Tier-1 payroll and workforce management platforms.
• Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across supported geographies.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT experience supporting payroll and workforce management systems; UKG experience strongly preferred.
• Strong functional knowledge of payroll, time tracking, and labor compliance across multiple regions.
• Proven experience acting as a Product Owner (or similar leadership role) in technology delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to manage integrations, vendors, and production support for mission-critical HR/payroll platforms.
• Strong stakeholder communication, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
