Role Overview

Product Owner – Insurance (Transformation Management) You’ll be the key link between business and technology teams, translating business needs into requirements, user stories, and product features that improve user experience, operational efficiency, and measurable business value.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap Management (40%)

Partner with business leadership to build and maintain a product roadmap aligned to operational and business objectives
Prioritize features/enhancements based on business value, technical constraints, risk, and regulatory requirements
Balance priorities across multiple insurance products and manage stakeholder expectations
Coordinate with Portfolio Management for enterprise-wide initiative alignment
Define success criteria for implementations and track outcomes
Identify opportunities to improve workflows, UX, and operational effectiveness

Agile Delivery Management (30%)

Own and manage the product backlog with clarity, transparency, and continuous prioritization
Write clear business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Translate complex business needs into actionable product and process solutions
Lead Agile ceremonies (e.g., backlog refinement, sprint reviews, planning)
Coordinate with Program Increment (PI) Planning to align to broader delivery timelines
Use Jira and related Agile tools to manage backlog items, priorities, dependencies, and sprint progress
Coordinate with QA and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) prior to deployment

Stakeholder Management & Change Enablement (20%)

Create and execute change management plans
Design and deliver targeted training for stakeholders during rollouts
Track user adoption metrics and progress against implementation goals
Facilitate feedback sessions with end users for continuous improvement
Serve as primary escalation point for operational issues related to implemented products
Communicate value proposition, business impact, and benefits of new capabilities
