Product Owner II Overview

Own and drive product delivery execution for healthcare-focused digital capabilities, aligning backlog strategy with product vision and company goals. Partner closely with Product Managers and engineering to ensure reliable, high-quality releases.

Responsibilities

Own backlog strategy and prioritization aligned to product vision and company goals
Collaborate with Product Managers to define and execute the product roadmap
Lead weekly planning, capacity management, and delivery forecasting
Identify and manage technical dependencies, risks, and delivery bottlenecks
Write and refine complex user stories with clear business and technical context
Lead acceptance testing and enforce quality standards
Drive release planning, timelines, and cross-team coordination
Facilitate agile ceremonies (standups, grooming, planning, retrospectives)
Act as a key stakeholder interface; manage cross-functional communication and expectations
Analyze delivery metrics to continuously improve team processes
Leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery and inform product decisions; identify opportunities to embed AI into product workflows

Requirements

4+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in Product Management (equivalent experience considered)
Proven experience leading agile teams and delivery processes
Advanced proficiency with delivery tools such as Jira, Shortcut, Azure DevOps, or similar
Strong stakeholder management across multiple teams
Strong decision-making and prioritization with analytical problem-solving
Solid understanding of system architecture, dependencies, and technical concepts
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced post-merger environment

Nice to Have

Healthcare IT experience and understanding of the healthcare value chain
Experience with AI tools or AI-powered products; applying AI to improve workflows or outcomes
Familiarity with prescribing, pharmacy, eligibility, or medication-access workflows
Certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, or SAFe
