Product Owner

Role overview

Product Owner (Medical Imaging) on HealthMark’s SAFe Agile Release Train. The Product Owner maximizes value delivered by an Agile team building HealthMark’s medical imaging platforms—advancing digital radiology image delivery, replacing physical media, and enabling remote clinical collaboration. The role collaborates daily with Purview’s engineering team in Brazil and supports integration of the acquired platforms into the broader HealthMark portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the team backlog, aligned to the Medical Imaging product roadmap and strategic goals
• Elaborate features into clear user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria; accept completed stories on behalf of the team
• Collaborate daily with the Brazil-based engineering team on backlog refinement, story elaboration, and story acceptance
• Participate in PI Planning and team ceremonies: present the backlog, define iteration goals, and contribute to PI objectives
• Partner with other Product Owners to surface risks and manage cross-team dependencies
• Develop subject matter expertise in Medical Imaging workflows and the Purview Image and Expert View platforms
• Work with operations and support to triage production issues and customer escalations, prioritizing them into the backlog
• Drive backlog priorities integrating Medical Imaging capabilities with HealthMark platforms and processes
• Ensure HIPAA/privacy/data compliance requirements are reflected in user stories, acceptance criteria, and the team’s definition of done
• Partner with Product Management on feature definition (growing from team-level ownership toward feature-level definition over time)

Requirements

• 5+ years in Product Owner or similar product roles
• Strong experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies
• Experience writing user stories and managing backlogs
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong organization and ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
• SAFe POPM certification preferred; required within 6 months if not already certified

Preferred

• Experience with medical imaging platforms/workflows (e.g., PACS, DICOM, image exchange)
• Healthcare IT domain experience (e.g., Release of Information, health records exchange) plus deep SAFe practice
• Experience working with distributed or near-shore engineering teams

Location / travel

• Based in the United States; some travel to Dallas HQ and/or client sites may be required.
