About the role
Role Overview
As a Product Owner for Healthcare Revenue Cycle Payment Products, you will support Experian Health’s revenue cycle payment capabilities, reporting into the Product Leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Champion incremental innovation and continuous product improvement based on the product vision and roadmap.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional teams (development, QA, UX/UI) to manage delivery and report on product release impact.
- Work with Product Managers to obtain internal governance approvals and funding for new capabilities/use cases.
- Coordinate backlog and capacity with Development, Implementation, and Support, balancing:
- features
- support work
- technical debt
- technical improvements
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog based on business and customer value.
- Ensure shared understanding of scope, priorities, and Definition of Ready/Done.
- Translate business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Support product launches and collect user feedback for continuous improvement.
- Ensure features comply with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
- Use SQL to explore data, validate hypotheses, and support analytical workflows.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related role.
- 2+ years experience with healthcare technology or SaaS platforms.
- 2+ years experience with healthcare data privacy and compliance, including HIPAA/PHI.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Familiarity with Epics (e.g., in Agile tooling/workstreams).
- Familiarity with payments in a hospital-based revenue cycle environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Nice-to-Haves (implied)
- Strong healthcare domain understanding of revenue cycle payments.
- Experience working with analytics/SQL to validate product hypotheses.
