About the role

Role Overview

The Product Owner will define, prioritize, and deliver solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer experience. Acting as the voice of the business, you translate strategy and operational needs into actionable requirements, ensuring technology delivers measurable value.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain product vision and roadmaps across 1–2 teams of moderate complexity.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, translating business needs into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams to gather requirements and communicate plans/progress.
  • Make prioritization decisions balancing stakeholder needs, competing priorities, and resource constraints; manage defects, enhancements, and process improvements.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with business, technical, and vendor teams to deliver solutions on time.
  • Coordinate delivery using Agile/SDLC methodologies and ensure alignment with governance practices.
  • Identify and communicate risks, dependencies, and mitigations.
  • Measure and report product success, including post-implementation analysis against expected outcomes.
  • Oversee product budget and resource allocation for managed applications.
  • Drive continuous improvement by challenging current processes and mentoring teams on Agile and digital tools.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in product ownership or business analysis.
  • 3+ years of technical professional experience.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with tactical execution; strong prioritization and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience mentoring/working with Agile practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services.
  • Experience with Agile values and principles.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, and/or Kaizen.
