About the role
Role Overview
As a Product Owner for Insurance – Worker’s Compensation, you will own and drive product delivery across risk evaluation, policy lifecycle, and workflow automation. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, SMEs, and engineering teams to translate insurance needs into execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the product roadmap and backlog
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories
- Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, and engineering teams
- Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
- Ensure timely, high-quality delivery
- Support Worker’s Compensation underwriting, policy lifecycle, and workflow automation
Required Skills
- 13+ years experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst
- Strong Insurance domain expertise (mandatory), specifically Worker’s Compensation (must-have)
- Understanding of underwriting and policy lifecycle
- Agile/Scrum expertise
- Experience with REST APIs (e.g., Postman/Swagger)
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Hands-on with Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Guidewire or similar insurance platforms
- Experience with Policy Administration Systems
- Exposure to data/analytics
