About the role
Role Overview
Product Owner (Remote, U.S. Citizenship Required) You will guide product vision, prioritization, and delivery of product features to deliver value to internal and external stakeholders. You’ll use Agile frameworks (Scrum and/or Kanban) and translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
Responsibilities
- Gather, clarify, and validate requirements with stakeholders (Business Analysts, development teams, program leadership).
- Define, prioritize, and refine the product backlog to maximize business value.
- Convert user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria in collaboration with engineering.
- Build product and domain knowledge and act as a subject matter expert.
- Evolve features iteratively using feedback and performance data.
- Identify and mitigate product risks, gaps, and dependencies.
- Support user acceptance activities to confirm delivered features meet expectations.
- Communicate product vision, roadmap updates, and progress to diverse audiences.
- Maintain strong attention to detail and accountability for on-time delivery.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 4 years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- 5 additional years of relevant experience (as stated in the posting).
- Experience analyzing data and presenting information to stakeholders.
- Experience with programming and/or SQL and/or a BI platform.
- Ability to work with JSON data structures.
- Understanding of working with APIs (reviewing request/response structures and refining specifications).
Preferred Qualifications
- Agile experience in Scrum/Kanban and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience facilitating backlog refinement and sprint planning / Agile ceremonies.
- Experience with product tools such as Jira, GitHub, or Rally.
- Experience with roadmaps, release plans, and long-term product strategy.
- Experience with migrations/upgrades and feature rollouts.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSPO, PSPO, SAFe POPM, PMI-ACP, CSM/PSM).
