About the role
Product Owner (CRIO)
CRIO is seeking a Product Owner passionate about delivering customer outcomes through strong product ownership in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Product Vision & Delivery: Work with engineering to visualize and deliver solutions aligned to the product vision and requirements.
- Scrum Framework Leadership: Develop, adapt, and facilitate Scrum across the product lifecycle; manage the backlog and lead release planning.
- Strategic Collaboration: Coordinate with other product owners and Scrum masters to shape product development strategy.
- Backlog Management: Prioritize and manage user stories and defects, ensuring realistic, meaningful work for development teams.
- Project Leadership: Plan, coordinate, and document development activities for high-visibility projects; adapt to changing scope.
- Communication & Facilitation: Facilitate sprint/release/issue communication with stakeholders.
- Delivery Optimization: Make data-driven decisions during sprint planning to maximize business value.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain effective relationships with steering committees, sponsors, customers, functional managers, and project teams.
- Motivation & Leadership: Empower Scrum teams with clear goals to drive sustainable velocity and address sprint concerns.
- Agile Development Execution: Collaborate to commit backlog items to sprints and participate in post-live retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
- Value Advocacy: Champion release value and ensure stakeholder alignment on objectives, scope, and deliverables.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software product ownership.
- Strong balance of technical knowledge and business insight.
- Experience with Jira and GitHub.
- Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and Agile development.
- Ability to translate abstract ideas into clear business/functional requirements.
- Ability to distinguish technology constraints from core business value.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships across all organizational levels.
- University degree (CS/engineering or related) or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
- Understanding clinical data, clinical data workflows, and guiding transformations/integrations.
- Familiarity with eClinical vendor systems and workflows.
