About the role

Role Overview

CRIO is seeking a Product Owner passionate about delivering outcomes for customers. You’ll define and deliver product solutions, drive execution through an Agile Scrum framework, and partner closely with engineering and stakeholders to ensure the right work is prioritized and shipped.

Responsibilities

Product vision & delivery: Work with engineering to visualize and deliver solutions aligned with the product vision and requirements.
Scrum framework leadership: Facilitate Scrum across the product lifecycle; manage the backlog and lead release planning.
Strategic collaboration: Partner with other product owners and scrum masters to develop product development strategies.
Backlog management: Prioritize and manage user stories and defects to keep work meaningful, realistic, and achievable.
Project leadership: Plan, coordinate, and document activities for large, high-visibility projects; adapt to changing scopes.
Communication & facilitation: Coordinate sprint/release updates and share issues and relevant information with stakeholders.
Delivery optimization: Evaluate work to maximize business value and support decisions during sprint planning.
Stakeholder relationships: Maintain positive relationships with steering committees, sponsors, customers, functional managers, and project teams.
Team motivation & leadership: Empower Scrum teams with clear goals, support velocity, and address sprint concerns.
Agile development execution: Collaborate with development teams on sprint commitments and participate in post-live retrospectives.
Value advocacy: Champion product release value and ensure alignment on objectives, scope, and deliverables.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in software product ownership
Balance of technical knowledge and business insight
Experience with Jira and GitHub
Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and Agile development
Ability to translate abstract needs into detailed business/functional requirements
Ability to separate technology constraints from core business value
Strong communication and storytelling skills; ability to align diverse stakeholders
Proven ability to build effective relationships across all levels
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or related field
Strong written and verbal communication

Nice to Have

Understanding clinical data and clinical data workflows/integrations
Familiarity with eClinical vendor systems and workflows
