About the role

Role Overview

Product Owner at CRIO. You will own product outcomes by defining vision, managing delivery through Agile/Scrum, and partnering closely with engineering, stakeholders, and customers.

Responsibilities

Product Vision & Delivery: Work with engineering to visualize and deliver solutions aligned to the product vision and requirements.
Scrum Framework Leadership: Facilitate and adapt the Scrum framework across the product lifecycle; manage the backlog and lead release planning.
Strategic Collaboration: Partner with other Product Owners and Scrum Masters to shape product development strategies.
Backlog Management: Prioritize and manage user stories and defects to ensure work is meaningful, realistic, and achievable.
Project Leadership: Plan, coordinate, and document large-scale, high-visibility delivery activities; adjust to changing scope.
Communication & Facilitation: Facilitate communication across sprints/releases, issues, and stakeholder-relevant updates.
Delivery Optimization: Evaluate activities for maximum business value and make strategic decisions during sprint planning.
Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with steering committees, sponsors, customers, functional managers, and project teams.
Motivation & Team Leadership: Set clear goals for Scrum teams, drive sustainable velocity, and address sprint concerns.
Agile Development Expertise: Coordinate backlog commitments for sprints and participate in post-live retrospectives to drive improvement.
Value Advocacy: Champion product release value and ensure alignment on objectives, scope, and deliverables.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in software product ownership
Balance of technical knowledge and business insight
Experience with Jira and GitHub
Experience working in Agile/Scrum, including SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
Ability to translate abstract inputs into clear business/functional requirements
Ability to distinguish business value from technical constraints
Strong communication and storytelling skills; able to align diverse stakeholders
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across organizational levels
University degree (CS/engineering or related) or comparable experience

Nice to Have

Understanding of clinical data, clinical data workflows, and transformations/integrations
Familiarity with eClinical vendor systems and workflows
