Product Owner, Commerce

Role Overview

As a Product Owner on the Commerce Team within Chipotle’s Digital Experiences organization, you’ll partner with Product Managers and Product Line Managers to translate customer needs into clear feature details and user stories for development teams. You’ll prioritize the work that delivers the most customer value, act as the customer advocate, and help teams build, launch, and iterate on commerce capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze feature requirements and translate them into User Stories with Acceptance Criteria.
• Define and prioritize the product backlog and sprint backlog; lead backlog refinement.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert on content integrations and the content management system (CMS) for requirements capture.
• Communicate product vision and goals to the Agile Delivery team and stakeholders.
• Participate in estimation and sprint planning; manage the product release process.
• Review and accept completed work for requirements completeness and customer experience pre- and post-launch.
• Participate in discovery sessions for new features/projects and contribute domain knowledge.
• Set Sprint Goals, track deliverable timelines, and communicate delivery dates to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as Product Owner (or similar).
• Experience with B2C ecommerce websites.
• Experience using a CMS (preferred: Adobe Experience Manager).
• Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum, including leading requirements capture, writing user stories, and prioritizing backlog.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and facilitation/listening skills.
• UX knowledge: UX design, user flows, and wireframes.
• Ability to multi-task and succeed in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Strong collaboration across Digital Experiences and Software Development teams.

Nice to Have

• Scrum PO Certification preferred.
• BA/BS from a 4-year college/university preferred.

Location / Work Model

• Based in Newport Beach, CA office 4 days per week; work from home on Friday.
• Remote work not available.
