About the role

Role: Product Owner

Own product outcomes and drive Agile delivery while balancing feature development with ongoing production support.

Responsibilities

  • Define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities, balancing new feature delivery with production support needs.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog by evaluating value, cost-benefit, risk, and ROI.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for production support, reviewing and triaging tickets related to:
    • product functionality
    • data issues
    • system behavior
  • Perform data analysis and database querying (SQL) to investigate defects, validate reported issues, and support root-cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Operations to separate data issues, configuration gaps, defects, and enhancement requests.
  • Translate support and analysis findings into actionable backlog items with clear acceptance criteria and data validation requirements.
  • Lead Agile delivery by managing backlog refinement, iteration planning, user story elaboration, and release planning.
  • Provide clear vision and direction to Agile teams and stakeholders; ensure a steady pipeline of well-defined, prioritized work.
  • Identify recurring support trends and partner with stakeholders to drive long-term improvements in product, processes, and data quality.
  • Research problems to resolution and ensure lessons learned are applied to future delivery.
  • Communicate progress, impacts, priorities, risks, dependencies, and next steps to Sponsors, Business Owners, and Executive Management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role supporting enterprise software.
  • Hands-on experience with production systems including reviewing and triaging support tickets and partnering with technical teams.
  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and root-cause analysis.
  • Experience creating data mapping, data validation, and reconciliation requirements.
  • 5+ years experience in loan servicing and/or mortgage systems.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting financial services platforms.
  • Background in post-release support, defect management, and operational stabilization.
