Product Owner

Role: Product Owner

CareMetx Product Owners work with Product Managers, engineers, designers, and subject matter experts to build, scale, and drive adoption of CareMetx products. The role is accountable for strategic initiatives and product roadmap execution.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Managers to define product strategy and maintain a realistic product roadmap
• Gather customer insights by facilitating customer conversations and analyzing pain points
• Use research and analysis of market/competition and user behavior to inform roadmap decisions
• Participate in customer beta discussions to analyze customer needs for new products
• Own product initiatives by breaking them into roadmap plans and actionable work
• Drive team ownership across the product lifecycle (story decomposition through build, deployment, feedback, and next-generation planning)
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and designers to improve usability and drive product adoption; own specific product modules/experiences
• Contribute to solutioning sessions with architects, engineers, and designers around business value and expected outcomes
• Write and detail backlog items (user stories/epics) with examples and acceptance criteria
• Validate stories against acceptance criteria and the team’s Definition of Done (DoD), including persistent acceptance tests
• Understand enabler work scope and collaborate with engineering to support decision-making and sequencing of critical infrastructure
• Prioritize stories and tasks with UX/UI and engineering; define backlog scope for Agile development
• Participate in testing/acceptance sessions, retrospectives, and release activities (planning, execution, release notes, documentation, and product videos)
• Deliver product training to cross-functional teams

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in product management (business analyst, associate product manager, or product owner preferred)
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Process mapping and diagramming skills; visualization tools such as Lucidchart or Visio
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Notion, and Aha
• Curious, enthusiastic, positive, and self-driven approach
