About the role
Role Overview
Product Owner for the Archives product line, reporting to the VP, Product Management. You will work closely with archivists/records managers, other Product Owners, and developers to capture client needs and translate them into prioritized requirements that help organizations preserve, discover, and share archival collections.
Key Responsibilities
- Own prioritization of development work for the Archives product and keep it aligned with product strategy.
- Participate in an Agile process (including remote team members) and act as the expert for product users.
- Represent the archivist perspective in planning features and development, covering workflows such as:
- accessioning
- arrangement
- description
- preservation
- access
- Conduct virtual and in-person user interactions and run product walk-throughs for internal and external audiences.
- Help development teams deliver a consistent, intuitive user experience.
- Stay current with archival standards and best practices and use them to inform product requirements.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, and Support to gather feedback and identify improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree/certificate in a relevant field (e.g., Library Science, Information Science, History, Archival Studies, Computer Science, or related).
- 3–5 years of experience in a technical environment or working with archives/records management systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication plus analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and simplify them for non-technical stakeholders.
