Product Owner

Role: Product Owner (Archives)

Work with the Product Management team to define and prioritize requirements for Soutron Global’s Archives product line.

Responsibilities

• Own prioritization of development work for the Archives product; report to the VP of Product and help move the product forward.
• Participate in the Agile process (including remote team members) and act as the product expert for Archives and its users.
• Represent archivists/records managers when planning features; drive development from a user/workflow perspective (accessioning, arrangement, description, preservation, and access).
• Conduct product walk-throughs for internal and external audiences; gather requirements through virtual and in-person user interactions.
• Help development teams deliver a consistent, intuitive user experience.
• Stay current with archival standards and connect them to product requirements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, and Support to gather feedback and identify product improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree/certificate in a relevant discipline (e.g., Library Science, Information Science, History, Archival Studies, Computer Science, or related).
• 3–5 years experience in a technical environment or working with archives/records management systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication plus analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and simplify them for non-technical stakeholders.

Domain/Interest (Preferred)

• Genuine interest in archives, records management, digital preservation, or cultural heritage (or strong willingness to learn).
• Experience working with users and subject-matter experts; comfort in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
