Product Owner (AI Focus)

Role Overview

Product Owner (AI Focus) for an AI-first product development organization. This hybrid role blends product ownership, business analysis, and AI-enabled product leadership—working with stakeholders, engineers, designers, and AI systems to translate business needs into high-impact outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Product Ownership: Own and manage product backlogs, priorities, and delivery outcomes.
• Facilitate sprint planning and backlog refinement, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Ensure solutions align with strategic objectives and customer needs.
• Use AI tools to accelerate product discovery, requirements generation/documentation, analysis, and decision-making.
• Promote AI-first practices across the product lifecycle; identify automation/augmentation opportunities to improve productivity.
• Operate and monitor AI agents (e.g., Cost/TCO, UAT, Runbook & Evidence) across Azure DevOps and Atlassian/Jira via MCP and APIs, owning the delivery path (not the architecture).
• Apply PM-authored quality rubrics at each gate to review AI-drafted artifacts (especially BRDs, TCO, CBA) and correct weak or generic outputs so deliverables meet expert standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as a Product Owner/Analyst/Business Analyst/Product Manager (or similar) in cross-functional software delivery.
• Demonstrated success delivering digital products from concept through release.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to write user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and requirements documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve productivity and product/team outcomes.
• Ability to work independently while driving alignment across teams.
• Hands-on ability to operate/integrate/extend AI agents and automation across Azure DevOps, Jira, and cloud APIs via MCP.
• Mortgage domain fluency/judgment to recognize and correct weak or incorrect AI output against rubrics.

Compensation

• Salary range: $130,000–$150,000 (annual). Offer may consider role/responsibilities and experience.
