About the role

Role Overview

Product Owner – Product Master Data Management (MDM) (Remote) You will own product backlog and requirements for Product MDM/Data Management initiatives, partnering with data, business, and delivery teams to ensure the product meets business needs and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Product Owner for Product MDM/data management capabilities (e.g., SKUs, attributes, hierarchies, classifications, product lifecycle)
  • Manage Agile/Scrum/SAFe delivery, including sprint planning and backlog operations
  • Gather and refine business requirements, translating them into user stories and functional requirements
  • Prioritize the backlog and support cross-functional collaboration
  • Work with data governance, data stewardship, and data quality frameworks
  • Support enterprise delivery activities including:
    • UAT
    • data migration
    • release planning
    • go-live
  • Manage stakeholders and support process mapping to align solutions with business processes

Requirements

  • 5+ years as a Product Owner or Business Analyst on Product MDM/Data Management initiatives
  • Strong hands-on MDM expertise: SKUs, attributes, hierarchies, classifications, product lifecycle
  • Experience with Jira (backlog management, user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint planning)
  • Strong understanding of Data Governance, Data Stewardship, and Data Quality
  • Experience with enterprise platforms, such as SAP, Oracle, Informatica MDM, Reltio, PLM, PIM, or similar
  • Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation / enterprise platform implementations
  • UAT, data migration, release planning, and go-live support experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Management, Supply Chain, or related field

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience across multiple MDM-adjacent systems (e.g., PLM/PIM) in enterprise transformations
