Product Marketing Manager (Coinbase Institutional)

Role Overview

Join Coinbase Institutional as a Product Marketing Manager (Prime & Markets). You’ll shape how complex institutional products are positioned globally, translating technical capabilities into clear narratives that drive adoption.

Responsibilities

• Own narrative & positioning for Coinbase Institutional’s Prime and Markets products across regions.
• Lead go-to-market strategy for major product launches (e.g., derivatives, cross-margin initiatives).
• Drive sales enablement to support institutional selling efforts.
• Translate complex technical details into clear, compelling messaging.
• Act as a liaison between Product, Markets, Sales, and Leadership.
• Build global GTM narratives that account for regulatory constraints and local market realities.
• Brief leadership and represent the product externally with executive-ready communication.

Requirements

• Experience with institutional trading, derivatives, and/or market infrastructure.
• 7+ years in product marketing or adjacent roles (PMM, product strategy, institutional GTM).
• Comfortable discussing liquidity, capital efficiency, risk, and market structure.
• Strong knowledge of derivatives markets: futures, options, margining, and execution models.
• Strong cross-functional operating and ability to lead without authority.
• Proven ability to simplify complexity into positioning and messaging.
• Strong instincts around prioritization, sequencing, and tradeoffs.
• High agency/ownership, confidence to push back when narratives don’t hold.
• Proven ability to partner with Product, Sales, Markets, Legal, and Comms.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in prime brokerage, derivatives platforms, electronic trading, or market infrastructure.
• Background in TradFi, crypto-native firms, or both.
• Prior experience supporting institutional sales teams.
• Familiarity with APIs, trading UIs, or execution workflows.
