Product Marketing Manager (Artificial Intelligence)

Role Overview

Senior Product Marketing Manager (Artificial Intelligence) at Aiven, focused on defining and driving Aiven’s AI vision and narrative. You’ll lead go-to-market marketing efforts for Aiven’s AI-related data infrastructure and serve as a key spokesperson for Aiven’s AI story.

Key Missions

• Define and drive Aiven’s AI vision and messaging, articulating the value of standardizing on managed open source data tools for enterprise AI workloads.
• Create high-impact marketing materials, including website copy, sales enablement, and main presentations centered on Aiven’s data services that enable AI.
• Conduct comprehensive market and competitive analysis for the AI/ML data infrastructure space to identify opportunities and threats.
• Work cross-functionally with Aiven executives and product, marketing, and engineering leadership.

Requirements

• 6+ years in B2B product marketing, ideally in cloud, data infrastructure, or open source.
• Strong understanding of cloud and AI business models and the challenges companies face building AI-ready systems.
• Experience marketing a managed service or product built on open source (e.g., Kafka, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, ClickHouse).
• Ability to use generative AI tools to improve work efficiency.
• Excellent technical writing: make complex ideas readable without oversimplifying.
• Proven ability to build an AI narrative (not just support one) and explain the reasoning behind messaging.
• Experience operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and driving cross-functional projects, including with executive leadership.
• Experience in market analysis and competitive intelligence.
• Master-level presentation and storytelling, with comfort using Google Slides.
• Comfortable with remote work and regular travel.

• Prior exposure to AI/ML infrastructure marketing with strong linkage to enterprise AI adoption.
