About the role

Role Overview

Join Sezzle as a Product Marketing Intern (full remote). You’ll analyze user behavior, gather insights, and help shape product experiences for millions of users.

Key Missions

Analyze feature usage, adoption, and activation data to understand user engagement across Sezzle’s product ecosystem.
Design and analyze surveys (in-app and external) to understand user motivations, friction points, and awareness gaps.
Conduct competitive research (feature-by-feature) to understand positioning of similar products—especially how they resonate with younger audiences.

Profile / Requirements

Enjoys finding patterns in messy data, asking strong questions, and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Product, Analytics, or a related field.
Comfortable working with ambiguity and turning loose direction into clear next steps.
Ability to analyze basic datasets and identify patterns/themes.
Strong written communication skills.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Prior internship or coursework related to marketing, product, research, or operations.
Familiarity with lifecycle marketing concepts, experimentation, or user journeys.
Familiarity with AI tools (Sezzle uses Claude heavily for AI-assisted research, writing, and analysis).
Interest in fintech, consumer apps, or e-commerce.
Gen Z lived perspective (18–25) and ability to earn trust.
Personal attributes: high standards, delivers results, thrives on calculated risk-taking, challenges decisions respectfully, and commits once direction is set.

Nice-to-haves

Comfort with AI-assisted research and writing beyond basic familiarity.
