Product Manager (SRE and Data Engineer)

Role Overview

Join Sardine as a Product Manager for SRE & Data Engineering. You will manage the lifecycle of internal Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Data-as-a-Service (SaaS) products, partnering with technical, legal, security, and data teams to ensure reliability, performance, compliance, and analytics readiness.

Key Missions

• Own lifecycle of internal PaaS and Data SaaS products, ensuring enterprise-grade system availability.
• Lead cross-department initiatives with engineering and stakeholders across the organization.
• Define, monitor, and enforce error budgets to achieve 99.99% product availability.
• Create and execute scaling strategies for production systems.
• Manage GCP cloud budgets, analyze pricing, and identify process improvements to reduce operational costs.

Responsibilities & Collaboration

• Work closely with data engineers, legal & security teams, and data scientists.
• Support optimization for performance, compliance, and advanced analytics / machine learning models.
• Translate technical infrastructure and data concepts into clear business value for executives.
• Directly manage and lead highly technical teams (SREs/engineers) and cross-functional groups without direct authority.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of GCP cloud computing and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
• Strong infrastructure foundations: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Kubernetes/GKE.
• Extensive experience with data warehousing, data lakes, BI, and AI/ML product deployment.
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics into executive-ready business outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience managing technical personnel and leading cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to manage large cloud budgets and optimize spend within Google Cloud.
