Product Manager

Role Overview

The Product Manager will support a key program for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), owning the product lifecycle end to end—from discovery and roadmap planning through launch and iteration.

This is a remote position in the U.S. and is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the product roadmap, balancing short-term delivery with long-term vision
• Conduct user research and discovery to understand customer pain points and needs
• Translate business and user goals into product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Partner with engineering and design to ensure successful product execution
• Prioritize the product backlog and make trade-offs based on value, feasibility, and user impact
• Define and track KPIs to measure product success and guide iteration
• Facilitate sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives with engineering leads
• Communicate product vision, progress, and decisions to stakeholders
• Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers early and drive resolution
• Gather and synthesize feedback from customers, stakeholders, and data to continuously improve the product

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, information systems, or related field
• 5–7+ years of experience in a similar Product Manager role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in data analysis and related software tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Working Conditions

• Standard business hours (Mon–Fri); occasional extended/weekend hours as operationally needed
• Requires reliable internet for effective telecommuting
