About the role

Role Overview

Branching Minds is seeking a Product Manager or Senior Product Manager (one hire) to help evolve its MTSS platform. The role is mission-driven: empower educators, improve student outcomes, and support scalable product delivery.

What You Will Achieve

Develop a deep understanding of the product, users, and the K-12 edtech landscape.
Build strong working relationships with engineering and design partners.
Own a feature area, lead discovery sessions, and translate user needs into clear product requirements.
Work with design and engineering to ship high-quality software that solves real problems for teachers and students.
Maintain a visible backlog covering workflow, UX, and behavioral debt.

If hired at Senior Product Manager level

Lead product development and enhancements with an emphasis on innovation and scalability.
Understand strategic goals and the competitive landscape.
Identify opportunities for platform enhancement and begin defining a long-term vision for your product area.
Create and drive a prioritized roadmap with cross-functional teams.
Use knowledge of K-12 education to spot emerging trends and competitor moves.
Provide visionary guidance and recommendations to prospects and leadership.

Requirements

Product Manager level (2–5 years)

2–5 years in Product Management/Product Delivery or a similar role.
Experience partnering closely with engineering teams in Agile environments.
Strong written communication (problem framing and requirements writing).
Ability to work with ambiguity, learn from feedback, and make decisions with incomplete information.
Empathy for educators, students, and administrators; passion for improving educational outcomes through technology.
Strong leadership, collaboration, and influence across functions.
Analytical, data-driven decision-making mindset.
Must be able to work effectively remotely.

Senior Product Manager level

5+ years experience in product management/product delivery (plus the PM requirements).
