About the role
Role overview
Product Manager (SaaS) (Part time, fixed-term) responsible for managing the full product lifecycle for an assigned portfolio—from ideation and strategy through development, launch, and ongoing enhancements.
What you’ll do
- Define, refine, and execute product strategies and roadmaps aligned to business goals and customer needs.
- Conduct market and customer research to identify opportunities, validate requirements, and guide prioritization.
- Partner with engineering and design (and other teams) to translate product vision into features and requirements.
- Manage the product development lifecycle: backlog prioritization, release planning, and launch readiness.
- Track product performance using qualitative and quantitative metrics, iterating to improve adoption and business impact.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, legal, operations, and customer success to support go-to-market and product enablement.
- Act as voice of the customer and evangelize the product internally and externally.
- Share knowledge, contribute to best practices, and mentor peers as appropriate.
What you’ll bring
- Strong industry knowledge and ability to operate as a subject matter expert.
- Industry exposure to enterprise software and/or SaaS.
- Experience solving highly complex, uniquely challenging problems; ability to evaluate alternatives and variables.
- Ability to work independently toward long-range goals; may act as informal team lead/coach.
- Consultative capability with management and as a spokesperson for major initiatives.
- 5+ years experience in SaaS product or project management.
- Demonstrated experience in product management and/or business analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven cross-functional collaboration and capability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience with Agile (or other product development methodologies).
- Familiarity with product strategy concepts: go-to-market, pricing, positioning, ROI analysis.
- Experience presenting to executive audiences.
- Education/certifications: university degree plus advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) or professional product management certifications.
Contract details
- Fixed term, part time: 3 days/week for up to 12 months.
