About the role
Role overview
Blueprint is hiring a Product Manager (RCM) / Product Lead to build and run a new AI-powered billing service for therapists in private practice. The product addresses the complexity and edge cases of insurance billing, providing a hands-off managed experience while keeping therapists in control.
Responsibilities / What you’ll own
- Launch and run the human-powered service and tracking layer, instrumenting the system to generate training data for AI agents.
- Build and evolve AI agent workflows that take over billing tasks one job at a time, moving from supervised to autonomous as reliability improves.
- Design the orchestration layer billers use to supervise, approve, and correct agents, with each correction improving the system.
- Set pricing, packaging, and service commitments for customers.
- Lead the public launch and early scale across operations, hiring, capacity planning, and P&L.
- Act as an insurance billing expert and shape the product roadmap alongside Blueprint’s core EHR team.
- Work directly with the founder and a dedicated design and engineering team, with “founder-level ownership.”
Requirements
- AI-native product builder who has shipped RCM, claims, or insurance billing products (ideally on the provider side).
- Experience building 0→1 products with a real operations layer (e.g., managed service, marketplace, or human-in-the-loop workflow).
- Hands-on production experience with LLM/agent workflows.
- Ability to hire, lead, and learn from billers, treating them as product partners.
- Strong “GM thinking”: willing and able to own pricing, operations, P&L, and scaling decisions.
- Ability to model unit economics (e.g., hours per account, gross margin, CAC payback) without relying solely on Finance.
- Understanding of SMB/self-serve customers—specifically solo therapists ($300–$600/month), not enterprise hospital/CFO buyers.
- Enjoys early-stage ambiguity and end-to-end ownership of a major bet.
Nice-to-haves (implied)
- Prior experience integrating with or operating alongside EHR/billing infrastructure.
- Experience transitioning from human-led to semi-autonomous workflows for reliability and quality control.
