Product Manager

Role Overview

Product Manager (Financial Services) at Prometheum. This is a fully remote (USA), full-time W2 role where you will own product features end-to-end for trading, onboarding, and custody solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own product features end-to-end: discovery and requirements → launch, working with engineering and design.
• Partner with stakeholders to write clear Business Requirements (BRDs) and Product Requirements (PRDs).
• Drive the product lifecycle from ideation through launch, aligning business needs with technical execution across:
  • trading
  • clearing
  • broker-dealer onboarding workflows
• Define product features and roadmap priorities, balancing near-term delivery with long-term scalability.
• Run Agile ceremonies and sprint planning; break epics into user stories with crisp acceptance criteria.
• Maintain traceable documentation in Jira and Confluence (features, user stories, tasks).
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., broker-dealers, financial institutions) to communicate requirements, manage timelines, and support testing.
• Be a go-to resource for product questions from partners and compliance teams around trading, settlement, and custody.
• Create and maintain product documentation (user guides, release notes, onboarding flows).
• Track product metrics and use data to assess adoption and inform next priorities.

Requirements

• 3–5 years in product management or business analysis, ideally in fintech/startups/high-growth tech.
• Hands-on experience with financial products such as trading, payments, lending, custody, or brokerage, shipped in a startup/scale-up environment.
• Comfortable with Agile/Scrum and product tooling (Jira, Confluence, and product analytics platforms).
• Solid understanding of financial services workflows (e.g., account opening, transaction processing, settlement, compliance).
• Familiarity with regulated environments and compliance needs is a plus (e.g., FINRA, SEC), but willingness to learn is essential.
• Strong written/verbal communication; able to work effectively with engineers and business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to write user stories, process flows, and product documentation.
• Ability to translate complex financial/regulatory requirements into clear, shippable product specs.

Nice to Have

• Experience in fintech startups and 0→1 product environments.
• Knowledge of digital assets/blockchain/crypto.
• Familiarity with broker-dealer operations, clearing/settlement, or onboarding broker relationships.
• Experience with API integrations and modern web app architectures.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity.
