Product Manager Platform (m/w/d)

Role Overview

As Product Manager Platform (m/w/d), you shape the core of Kiwigrid’s IoT and cloud platform KiwiOS. You connect market requirements with technical excellence, manage the platform ecosystem across the full lifecycle, and drive international scaling of the platform’s PaaS model for the decentralized energy market.

Responsibilities

• Product vision & roadmap: Create and evolve the product vision, roadmap, and value proposition for the platform and its services (e.g., KiwiOS.cloud, Energy Manager).
• Business cases, pricing & monetization: Develop business cases, pricing models, and pricing strategies for PaaS, including alignment with stakeholders.
• Partner acquisition & ecosystem building: Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic platform partners to expand the ecosystem.
• Market & competitive analysis: Continuously analyze market and competitors with a focus on the international energy market.
• Product controlling & performance: Monitor platform performance, run controlling activities, and derive targeted actions.
• Requirements & specifications: Translate business use cases and customer needs into functional/technical specifications and epics.
• Collaboration with Product Owners: Support feature specification, align closely with Product Owners, and help prioritize the backlog.
• Documentation & APIs: Work with technical editorial teams to document the platform and APIs effectively.
• Lifecycle & go-to-market support: Manage the product lifecycle end-to-end (from SoC to EoL) and support internal teams (sales, marketing, internal product trainings).

Requirements

• Completed degree in (Business) Informatics, Business Administration/Economics, Engineering, or comparable.
• Several years of product management experience, including product or business-field development in IT, PaaS, or IoT.
• Strong understanding of cloud architectures, edge technologies, and API-first concepts.
• Sound knowledge of pricing, monetization, and the business economics of SaaS/PaaS.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to clarify and communicate effectively at the tech-business interface.
• Structured project execution and a hands-on mindset.
• Very good German and English proficiency (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

• Experience in renewable energy / smart energy.
• Knowledge of business, technical, and legal/regulatory aspects of the energy market.

Work Model / Location

• Hybrid work with regular office presence in Dresden.
