Product Manager, Payments

Role Overview

Product Manager, Payments at Zuora. You will own the product roadmap for global payments acceptance and coverage, ensuring customers can process payments anywhere. You’ll work across product, engineering, and partnerships to drive strategy for integrations with payment processors and acquirers.

Responsibilities

• Own the Global Payments Coverage Roadmap: define, execute, and maintain roadmap for global acceptance and payment coverage across integrated processors.
• Drive Processor Integrations: lead end-to-end integration lifecycle (scoping/design → launch → ongoing maintenance) with payment processors and acquirers.
• Optimize Payment Performance: analyze payment success rates and processing data to improve authorization rates and reduce transaction failures across regions.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: partner with engineering, design, and partner management to deliver payment solutions for global enterprise customers.
• Be the Payments Domain Expert: guide internal teams and customers on payment gateways, acquirers, and alternative payment methods.
• Serve as Focal Point for Customer/Partner Communications: act as primary communications face in US timezone, coordinating with engineering and stakeholders in Beijing and India.

Requirements

• Payments domain expertise: proven experience in payments with deep understanding of gateways, processors, acquirers, and schemes.
• Integration management: experience managing complex processor/acquirer integrations; ability to understand API specifications and integration workflows.
• Product management: track record owning roadmaps and delivering business-impact features.
• Technical aptitude: understand payment integration nuances and translate requirements to engineering.
• Global mindset: experience building for global markets, including regional payment preferences and regulatory constraints.

Nice to Have

• Experience with recurring billing or subscription management platforms.
• Familiarity with PSD2, SCA, and PCI-DSS.
• Technical background (e.g., solution architect/engineer) in payments.

Remote Policy

• Remote role with occasional team office visits, events, or offsites; you may come to the office more often if nearby.
