Product Manager

Role Overview

You will own a defined product area within the Ottimate platform end to end—driving discovery, requirements, delivery, launch, and iteration. This is a hands-on product management role with direct impact on B2B finance teams’ day-to-day workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap, backlog, and outcomes for your product area with engineering and design
• Run discovery: speak with customers and internal teams, analyze product data, and translate learning into well-scoped problems and clear requirements
• Write crisp specs and user stories; make day-to-day prioritization and trade-off decisions
• Partner with engineering across the full delivery cycle to keep work unblocked and focused on outcomes
• Define success metrics, instrument them, and report results honestly
• Work with Customer Success, Support, and Sales to understand real-world performance and improvement opportunities
• Contribute to broader product strategy with ideas grounded in customer reality

Requirements

• 2+ years in product management, ideally for B2B SaaS or workflow-heavy products
• Strong bias toward user conversations and decision-making grounded in evidence
• Analytical skills: comfortable digging into data to measure behavior and impact
• Excellent written and verbal communication to align engineers, designers, and stakeholders
• Comfort with ambiguity and drive to own outcomes (not just outputs)

Nice to Have

• Exposure to fintech and/or AP/AR, ERP, accounting, or other finance-adjacent products
• Familiarity with AI/ML-powered features and how to reason about them as a PM
• Experience with operationally complex or multi-location customers

Location / Work Schedule

• Hybrid schedule preferred for candidates based in Kansas City, MO
• Otherwise remote within the United States (as a secondary option)
