Defines what to build and why by aligning user needs, business goals, and engineering effort into a clear product direction.

Responsibilities

• Product discovery & validation: Identify and validate problems worth solving using user evidence.
• Product strategy & roadmapping: Sequence outcomes and bets into a communicable roadmap (including outcome-based approaches and OKRs).
• Market analysis: Assess competitors, positioning, and opportunity size.
• Product metrics: Define and track metrics to measure product health and impact.
• Requirements definition: Translate problems into clear specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritization & trade-offs: Make explicit trade-offs across value, effort, and risk.
• Stakeholder management: Align leadership, customers, and teams around decisions.
• Agile delivery: Work with engineering teams using iterative delivery practices.
