Product Manager (Inventory & Orders)

Role Overview

Product Manager (Inventory & Orders) for FourKites’ Inventory & Orders module. This high-visibility role focuses on product execution, customer discovery, and defining integration/data requirements across supply chain planning, procurement, and real-time logistics.

Key Missions

Product Execution & Specification

• Author user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature specifications for capabilities such as:
  • Safety stock threshold configuration
  • Order-at-risk dashboards
  • AI-assisted stock transfer recommendations

Customer Discovery & Feedback Synthesis

• Run structured discovery sessions with supply chain planners, procurement leads, and operations teams
• Turn customer feedback, field notes, and survey data into:
  • Prioritized problem statements
  • Product hypotheses

Integration & Data Requirements

• Own integration requirements, including how data flows into FourKites from:
  • ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
  • WMS (warehouse management systems)
  • Demand planning tools
• Define integration/data delivery via flat-file SFTP, API, and EDI
• Understand data flow, feed latency tradeoffs, and schema mapping (without needing to write code)

Requirements

• Experience with B2B SaaS product tooling such as Jira and Confluence (or equivalent)
• Ability to write clear, structured product specs and acceptance criteria engineering can execute without ambiguity
• Strong written and verbal communication; synthesize complex customer conversations into product requirements
• Demonstrated understanding of inventory and procurement workflows, including:
  • Safety stock parameters
  • Days-of-supply calculations
  • MRP outputs
  • Order fulfillment processes
• Comfort working across time zones in a remote or hybrid environment
• 3+ years experience in product management, supply chain operations, procurement, or demand planning

Nice-to-Haves / Additional Experience

• Familiarity with ERP/WMS ecosystems and integrations (SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, HighJump)
• Prior experience at a supply chain software company, shipper/manufacturer, or supply chain consulting
• Exposure to AI/ML-assisted operational recommendations (reorder suggestions, stockout prediction, inventory rebalancing)
• Background transitioning from demand planning/procurement/supply chain ops into product/technical work
• Experience with supply chain visibility platforms or real-time logistics/inventory products
• Familiarity with supply chain KPIs such as OTIF, inventory turnover, case fill rate, and days of supply
