About the role

Role Overview

The Product Manager shapes Instinct Science’s veterinary software platform by translating customer needs and market insights into product strategy and actionable roadmaps. You’ll partner with Engineering, Design, QA, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver solutions that improve practice operational efficiency and support the company’s growth.

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer needs and market insights into product strategy, roadmaps, and prioritized initiatives.
  • Lead discovery: interview customers, analyze workflows, review usage data, and synthesize feedback into opportunities.
  • Write crisp, detailed product requirements and collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Design to deliver solutions.
  • Balance customer impact, technical feasibility, and business priorities to make trade-offs.
  • Define and track success metrics post-launch to drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze usage data, market trends, and competitive dynamics to inform roadmap decisions.
  • Partner with Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing to support launches and ensure adoption.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for your product line by communicating strategy, scope, and priorities across the organization.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product management experience in an entrepreneurial/early-stage environment, ideally SaaS/Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of product management and Agile principles.
  • Experience building strategic roadmaps, gaining stakeholder buy-in, and driving major initiatives from concept to launch.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a hands-on manner.
  • Customer-first mindset and ability to align teams around customer use cases.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to manage multiple areas in parallel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Not explicitly stated (emphasis on exceptional written communication is cut off in the provided text).
