About the role

Role overview

You will join IMP as a Product Manager, owning one of the company’s products. Your focus is to deepen value for existing customers, identify and validate the next generation of capabilities, and deliver improvements in partnership with Engineering and Design.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve the product vision based on customer input, market signals, and business objectives.
Own and manage the product roadmap, balancing:
- incremental improvements that deepen customer value
- longer-term capabilities that strengthen the product’s competitive position
Embed and lead a discovery-led development approach within your squad and model it for the wider team.
Run regular customer interviews and contextual research/observation with MAT finance teams.

Requirements

Experience working as a Product Manager (implied by role scope and ownership of product vision/roadmap).
Ability to lead discovery and validation through customer research.
Strong collaboration with Engineering and Design to deliver product capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

Familiarity with the MAT (Multi-Academy Trust) / education finance domain (implied by the research and customer groups).
Experience applying discovery-led product development practices in a squad setting.

Reporting & location

Reports to Head of Product.
Full remote (listed location: Exeter, GB).
