Product Manager II

Role Overview

As a Product Manager II at SmartRent, you will participate in the full product development lifecycle—from ideation to launch—working with end users, designers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality feature enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Drive product development from existing feature enhancements to new epics
• Collect and translate business requirements into technical documentation with acceptance criteria
• Collaborate hands-on with design to iterate and improve UI/UX
• Participate in scrums, retrospectives, and planning; take detailed notes and define action items
• Support agile execution: backlog grooming, feature prioritization, and sprint planning
• Define and ensure user acceptance and testing criteria are captured and followed during QA
• Maintain communication with power users
• Work with support, operations, and sales to understand friction points
• Aggregate feedback from all channels to drive product priority
• Create release notes for internal teams and end users
• Build and maintain user personas, journey maps, and product roadmaps
• Help create product prototypes, wireframes, and mockups with the design team
• Maintain training and enablement materials (user guides, knowledge base articles)
• Communicate expectations and timelines effectively with internal and external teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field
• 2+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Business Systems Analyst, and/or Jr. Product Manager
• Strong analytical, diligent problem-solving and feature planning ability
• Ability to research and document complex business processes
• Capacity to understand customer needs and business goals, and convert them into technical documentation
• Ability to build customer relationships through empathy and proactive solutioning
• Experience defining product roadmaps and prioritizing based on end-user needs
• Proven collaboration with stakeholders
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Proficient with common productivity/collaboration tools
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Figma, Sketch, GitHub, and prototyping

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in multifamily residential housing
• Experience building SaaS products
