Role overview

JetBrains is looking for a Product Manager for Bonsai (Innovation Hub) to help take an AI-focused developer tooling concept from working prototype to Alpha and toward product. You’ll validate real developer needs, refine positioning, and set early priorities for an infrastructure that supports spec-driven, AI-powered development with trustworthy and auditable outcomes.

Responsibilities

Conduct discovery: talk to developers and run discovery interviews to understand workflows and pain points.
Define product direction, including:
- ICP
- key scenarios
- what to build first
Monitor the market and competitors to inform priorities.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience as a Product Manager (or equivalent ownership), including end-to-end discovery and delivery.
Strong technical mindset, ideally with production coding experience.
Ability to work in high ambiguity, turning uncertainty into an actionable plan through discovery.

Nice-to-haves

Experience with zero-to-one product development (early discovery, shaping a new product, design partners, first adoption).
Experience with developer tools/IDEs, workflow products, or developer productivity platforms.
Interest or familiarity with AI-assisted development, AI agents, and how teams integrate them into real systems.
