About the role
Role Overview
Join Expel as a Product Manager to own the end-to-end lifecycle of integrations and be the product voice that connects customers, Sales/Customer Success, Engineering, and UX.
Key Missions
- Own integration lifecycle: Define the six-month vision and drive execution with Engineering and UX.
- Build and prioritize a roadmap: Establish customer relationships and use customer feedback plus market and competitive signals to maximize customer value and business outcomes.
- Be the voice of your features: Clearly communicate feature value to Sales, Customer Success, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Blend security expertise with product management—integrations are treated as core connective tissue for security operations.
- Understand integrations beyond plumbing, including quality implications for downstream workflows.
- Have an informed view of what an MDR should detect, grounded in customer empathy and hands-on industry knowledge.
- Comfortable navigating security tools and cloud platforms and knowing how they fit together (and where gaps exist).
- Ability to translate technical discussions with a SOC analyst into clear language for Sales.
- Security tool familiarity: EDR, SIEM, and firewall products and how they fit in a customer stack.
- Strong written and verbal communication (e.g., crisp user stories; fast customer-facing explanations).
- Broad knowledge of cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, including where security risks emerge.
- Product and engineering process familiarity: from requirements definition through launch.
- Ability to build trust across Engineering, Security Operations, Sales, Customer Success, and UX.
- Curious, customer-obsessed mindset and comfort asking “why” until reaching the real problem.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SIEM technologies.
- Experience navigating integration or data pipeline challenges firsthand.
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in product management or a directly relevant role (security industry experience strongly preferred).
