About the role
Role Overview
Founding Product Manager for a space technology startup, leading development and commercialisation of an environmental intelligence platform. You’ll operate at the intersection of AI/ML, sensor fusion, space operations, and national security, shaping product strategy and adoption from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a mission-critical platform.
- Act as the primary link between customers, operators, and engineering teams.
- Gather and prioritize customer requirements to drive product development.
- Translate complex technical capabilities into practical customer solutions.
- Support customer demonstrations, workshops, and technical engagements.
- Define product requirements, acceptance criteria, and release priorities.
- Partner with engineering to guide feature development and product evolution.
- Identify new use cases, markets, and growth opportunities.
- Support commercialisation, including product positioning and go-to-market activities.
- Drive successful deployment and adoption across customer environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing complex technical products in aerospace, defence, space, communications, or related industries.
- Strong ability to work with engineers, scientists, and technical stakeholders.
- Experience translating customer needs into product requirements and roadmap priorities.
- Understanding of data-driven systems, analytics platforms, sensor networks, and mission-critical technologies.
- Experience relevant to space systems and domains such as Space Domain Awareness, RF, radar, SATCOM, GNSS, or communications technologies.
- Familiarity with defence/government/national security customers.
- Product launch and 0-to-1 product development experience in startup/venture-backed/dual-use environments.
