About the role
Product Manager (Delivery-focused)
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Product Management or a Principal PM, you’ll translate product strategy into clear requirements and partner with Engineering, BA/QA, and UX to define, refine, and ship product improvements.
What you’ll own
- AI-powered requirements definition and story-level clarity for an assigned domain/feature area
- Daily delivery partnership with Engineering and BA/QA:
- backlog management, grooming, and launch readiness
- Stakeholder communication and cross-functional coordination within your domain
- Post-launch measurement and iteration:
- track adoption and usage metrics, synthesize feedback, and recommend improvements
Essential responsibilities
Discovery & Requirements
- Conduct customer and user interviews and review support data to inform prioritization
- Translate business needs and user problems into product requirements and user stories
- Collaborate with UX/UI to align design direction and functional scope
Delivery Partnership
- Groom backlogs with BA, Engineering, and QA; clarify requirements and unblock delivery
- Maintain prioritized, sprint-ready backlogs at all times
- Support UAT and launch readiness reviews; validate work meets defined acceptance criteria
- Influence product development and delivery practices using AI-enabled tools
Measurement & Learning
- Track feature adoption and key usage metrics post-launch
- Synthesize user feedback and support trends to surface iteration opportunities
- Prepare concise readouts for product and leadership reviews
Stakeholder Communication
- Maintain transparency on scope and delivery progress
- Escalate risks and trade-off decisions clearly and promptly
- Document product decisions and rationale
Required skills & experience
- 4–6 years of product management experience with direct ownership of a product backlog and delivery process
- Experience in HCM, fintech, or another regulated, workflow-driven SaaS environment (preferred)
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate the development lifecycle and delivering AI-native capabilities in SaaS products
- Strong requirements writing and stakeholder communication skills
- Comfortable working directly with Engineering and BA/QA in an Agile delivery model
- Analytical, organized; able to manage multiple workstreams without losing precision
- Developing command of product metrics and outcome-oriented thinking
Measures of success
- Backlog health (story readiness, grooming cycle time, reduced sprint churn)
- Delivery accuracy (planned vs completed)
- Feature adoption within owned scope
- Defect rate and rework within owned scope
- Stakeholder clarity (reduced ambiguity, fewer blockers, consistent communication)
