Product Manager, Business Technology

Role overview

As a Product Manager for Business Technology at Anthropic, you will own internal products that shape how Anthropic works with Claude. You will partner with internal customer teams (e.g., Legal, IT, GTM, Product, Finance, Security) to identify where Claude can remove friction and to ship software and automation that improves their outcomes.

Responsibilities

Internal product ownership

• Own the roadmap for Claude-powered internal products and automation across one or more customer functions.
• Run intake and prioritization to ensure the highest-impact problems are built first (and everything else gets a clear disposition).
• Write clear problem statements and requirements that engineers can implement without rework.
• Ship iteratively, gather feedback from internal users, and improve post-launch.

Adoption and business impact

• Co-develop adoption roadmaps with internal teams and hold both sides accountable.
• Define success metrics upfront and report adoption and business impact on a regular cadence.
• Treat change management as part of the product (rollout, training, and support to ensure adoption).
• Stop or rework products that aren’t delivering value.

Cross-functional partnership

• Build trusted relationships with leaders in the functions you serve; translate needs into product priorities.
• Partner with IT, IT Engineering, and Security on access, data handling, and governance to ensure policy-compliant Claude usage.
• Coordinate with Legal and Finance on applicable product requirements.
• Communicate plans, progress, and tradeoffs clearly.

Technical leadership

• Understand how Claude, internal systems, and integrations fit together to make good scoping and sequencing decisions.
• Partner with engineering on architecture choices that keep internal products maintainable and secure.
• Stay current on Claude capabilities and bring relevant new capabilities to internal teams.

Qualifications

Required

• Deep product management experience owning products used by internal teams.
• Experience shipping products that measurably change how a team/function works.
• Strong partnership with engineering, IT, and security on technical products.
• Excellent communication (writing and in-person), able to explain tradeoffs to executives and requirements to engineers.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and prioritizing across competing requests.

Nice to have

• Experience building with LLMs or agent tooling.
• Experience working on IT, internal tools, or business systems products.
• Experience leading change management / rolling out new tools across an organization.
