About the role
Role Overview
Brightwell is hiring a Product Manager to own the front-end native mobile experience across iOS and Android for financial institution (FI) partners. You’ll partner with the Director of Product on roadmap strategy and collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver features that real users use at real institutions.
Responsibilities
- Create and own the mobile product roadmap with the Director of Product; drive execution for FI partner mobile features on iOS and Android.
- Own key payment experience flows, including:
- Send flows
- Recipient management
- Transaction tracking
- Delivery options for domestic and international transfers
- Lead feature discovery and prioritization using user research, analytics, and direct FI feedback.
- Set and maintain the quality bar for what ships.
- Embed with product teams (mobile engineers, designers, backend/API) to ensure tight execution rather than distant handoffs.
- Define and track product metrics (e.g., adoption, engagement, completion rates, customer satisfaction).
- Manage stakeholder communication: feature updates, release notes, demos across internal teams and external FI partners.
- Maintain a well-organized, prioritized backlog ready for the team to pull from.
Requirements
- 3+ years of product management experience with meaningful time on mobile (iOS/Android) banking or payments.
- Strong understanding of compliance, transaction monitoring, fraud detection, and how regulation impacts product decisions.
- Evidence of shipped mobile features demonstrating craft, user empathy, and measurable business impact.
- Experience with financial institutions and/or B2B2C models balancing partner and end-user needs.
- Data comfort: you gather analytics, run experiments, and let evidence guide decisions.
- Technical fluency to discuss mobile architecture, API dependencies, and platform constraints.
- AI tool proficiency as part of daily workflow.
Nice-to-Have / Implied Strengths
- Deep familiarity with native SDK products used inside partner apps.
- Ability to iterate and drive growth despite constraints (enterprise customers update apps only a few times per year).
