About the role
Role Overview
As a Product Manager on Stripe’s Banking as a Service (BaaS) team, you will help deliver sophisticated financial services products. You’ll own core APIs, embedded/hosted experiences, and partner integrations, aiming to keep technical and operational complexity low while building delightful products at scale.
Responsibilities
- Own key user journeys from integration through core business operations
- Define product strategy and shape direction to address user needs
- Collaborate early with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, legal, risk, compliance, etc.) to develop product plans and onboarding/integration experiences
- Own the roadmap and go-to-market strategy with Product Marketing for your BaaS product area
- Act as the voice of the user for both product and API designs by gathering direct customer feedback
- Ensure solutions are scalable and performant
- Work with senior customer stakeholders, external developers, end users, and Stripe sales leadership
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in a product role
- Strong focus on user experience, spanning UI, developer docs, and technical integrations
- Passion/obsession with product quality
- Domain knowledge in financial products, especially card issuing, funds storage, or remittance
- Experience building platform and/or API products
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience that makes you comfortable being a generalist solving problems and improving experiences across the product lifecycle
Work Arrangement / Location
- Hybrid: either office-based or remote; remote option requires being 35+ miles (56+ km) from a Stripe office
- In-office expectations: office-assigned Stripe employees spend at least 50% of time monthly in the local office or with users
