About the role

Role: Product Manager, API Platform

You’ll join a Product Management team focused on building and launching products for Airbnb’s community of hosts and guests. In this role, you will lead the product roadmap and launches for Airbnb’s API platform, working closely with engineering and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Airbnb’s API platform.
Drive improvements to the API platform and developer tools in partnership with engineering.
Own product marketing and external communication for how partners can use the API platform.
Translate feedback into product features.
Create public and developer-facing messaging and narrative for the API platform.
Align product teams and cross-functional partners to execute a shared vision.
Build partnerships (with a focus on supply and demand) to scale adoption of API features with existing and new partners.
Lead execution throughout the product lifecycle: concept → release → ongoing success.
Use data and business analysis to support product strategy and prioritization.

Requirements

8+ years of product management and/or product marketing experience.
3+ years designing and building developer platforms.
Passion for improving developer productivity, product quality, and automating/optimizing developer workflows.
Empathy for developer pain points and experience building products for developers.
Experience partnering with executives, senior management, and technical staff.
Proven ability to create product messaging and deliver to customers and media.
Track record of product leadership in cross-functional environments.
Demonstrated ability to execute in fast-paced environments.
Strong data analysis and business analysis skills.
Ability and desire to do detailed individual-contributor product management work.
Ability/desire to travel frequently (domestic and international).
