About the role
Role Overview
As a Product Manager at Ameli, you’ll help develop and launch handbags from initial concept through go-live. You’ll bring structure to cross-functional work across design, operations, and marketing, using data and clear processes to shape upcoming collections.
Responsibilities
- Customer-centric product development: Use customer feedback, sales data, and market research to identify product needs and new features.
- Roadmapping & prioritization: Prioritize requirements based on data and plan roadmaps for upcoming collections.
- Material & supplier comparison: Support design with sourcing new materials by collecting quotes, comparing prices, and assessing quality/functionality.
- Supplier negotiations: Support the COO in negotiations with an Italian production partner.
- Costing & BOMs: Create bills of materials (BOMs), calculate production/material costs, and optimize for premium quality and financial efficiency.
- Production planning & launch management: Coordinate production timelines and align go-to-market plans with marketing (launch checklists, handovers, timing).
- Launch coordination & iteration: Orchestrate cross-functional launches, gather structured feedback, and define improvements for future production runs.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in consulting, project management, or a start-up environment.
- Strong ability to think in structure, communicate clearly, and turn complexity into actionable plans.
- Confident with Excel/Sheets, including pivot tables and workflow/process mapping.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and work with precision.
- Close, solution-oriented collaboration with design, marketing, and operations.
- Fluency in German and English; Italian is a plus.
- Passion for high-quality products and strong attention to detail.
