About the role

Role Overview

Cardinal Health is seeking a Product Experience Designer to design digital products and services that support healthcare providers and real people. You’ll work with product and engineering teams to evolve platforms and help partners ship efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Create low/high-fidelity designs, user flows, and testable prototypes for digital products and services.
  • Deeply understand customer/user behavior, pain points, and needs; turn insights into design decisions.
  • Partner with product managers to validate both problems and solutions through discovery.
  • Plan and execute user research studies, analyze data, and uncover actionable insights.
  • Articulate experience challenges and opportunities, including in the broader healthcare context.
  • Consider the whole system and each detail from the user’s perspective.
  • Explain design rationale clearly to non-designers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver a cohesive end-to-end experience.
  • Identify assumptions and test them effectively (creatively).
  • Translate quantitative and qualitative findings into actionable design tasks.
  • Apply a human-centered product design philosophy.
  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams and internal/external stakeholders; model transparency, trust, and psychological safety.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years experience designing digital products and/or services using a human-centered approach (preferred).
  • Strong grasp of digital product design best practices and staying current.
  • Skills in information architecture (IA), journey mapping, and interaction design; proficiency with relevant tools.
  • Proven visual design and creative development skills.
  • Experience observing/co-facilitating user research, service prototyping, and usability testing.
  • Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication for storytelling.
  • Comfort designing within a modern product design lifecycle.
  • BS/MS in human factors, design, psychology, sociology, or relevant experience (preferred).

Nice-to-Haves

  • Healthcare product experience (e.g., consumer, supply chain, logistics).
  • Familiarity with healthcare strategy, operations, and technology.
  • Experience designing with data, including modern data visualizations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $80,900 – $115,500 (bonus eligible: No)
