About the role
Role overview
Product Engineer (Workflows) at Arbor Education. You will own the architecture and evolution of Arbor Workflows, a new workflow automation platform, and help ensure it meets customer needs for robustness, security, and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Define and guide the system architecture, balancing trade-offs between speed, scalability, maintainability, and security.
- Ensure non-functional requirements are addressed across solutions: performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Lead/own the incident process:
- Support organizing the team to diagnose and resolve issues
- Conduct post-incident follow-ups
- Lead root cause analysis review meetings
- Make key decisions on system and solution design across a Node-based stack.
Requirements
- Experience with system/solution architecture and making design trade-offs.
- Ability to ensure robust, secure, and scalable system behavior.
- Experience handling incidents and driving root cause analysis.
Nice to haves
- Familiarity with workflow automation platforms and operating in customer-driven environments.
