About the role

Role Overview

You will join SuperPlane as a Product Engineer and own meaningful projects end to end. The role is remote, and the team works across GMT+2 to GMT-3.

SuperPlane is not divided into frontend/backend teams—engineers are expected to be well-rounded and make both product and technical calls, delivering features from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver product features end to end across the stack
  • Work on both:
    • Backend: e.g., API endpoints and workflow engine improvements
    • Frontend: e.g., React UI components users interact with
  • Make product and technical decisions, with strong systems judgment
  • Use an AI-driven workflow to stay fast without sacrificing quality
  • Collaborate as needed, asking for help when blocked

Requirements

  • Mid to senior level; shipped real products
  • Full-stack capability and independence
  • Strong backend experience in a systems-oriented language (you should be able to ramp up quickly; they use Go)
  • Comfort with TypeScript and React
  • Solid understanding of APIs, data models, and reliability/trade-offs
  • Comfort with cloud-native tooling and modern software delivery
  • Ability to learn quickly and take ownership of what you build

Nice to Have

  • Demonstrated ability to ramp quickly to Go and modern frontend stack
  • Evidence of impact via open source work

Application Process

  • Submit at least one pull request to superplanehq/superplane (small OK; doesn’t need to be merged)
  • Send your GitHub username and a link to the pull request
