Product Engineer (AI Accelerated, Ruby, TypeScript)

Role overview

As a Product Engineer (AI Accelerated, Ruby, TypeScript), you will own initiatives end-to-end, from solution design through to shipped features. You’ll translate user pain points into proposals, collaborate closely with Designers, and build parts of the company’s recruiting product.

Responsibilities

• Own initiatives end-to-end: define solutions, design requirements, and deliver shipped features to customers.
• Translate user needs into solution proposals, coordinating with Designers on design requirements.
• Build and maintain the Recruiter Portal:
  • Frontend in TypeScript and React
  • Backend in Ruby on Rails
• Leverage AI tools as part of the core workflow to improve speed and quality of delivery.
• Contribute to product management activities (e.g., user stories and stakeholder coordination) and to initiatives beyond just code.

Requirements

• Strong interest in product ownership and understanding the "why" behind building.
• Analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• English verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using AI tools as part of your workflow (e.g., prompting and AI agents; mentions Copilot and Cursor).
• Intermediate SQL knowledge.
• Ruby and Ruby on Rails, plus TypeScript or JavaScript experience.
• Solid understanding of web development concepts (e.g., HTTP, REST, in-browser storage).
• Familiarity with Claude Code.
• Min. 2 years of full-time software engineering experience.
• Team player with motivation to contribute to team success.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with product management activities such as writing user stories, stakeholder management, and user research.
• Experience owning features/initiatives beyond implementation.
