About the role

Role Overview

The Product Development Manager – Home and Lounge owns end-to-end product execution—from concept to market launch. You’ll work at the intersection of product strategy, technical development, merchandising, and innovation to ensure products are brand-right, performance-led, and commercially successful.

Responsibilities

  • Product Development & Technical Execution
    • Own the full product lifecycle: concept → launch
    • Translate brand vision, performance needs, and trends into technically sound products
    • Lead development across performance knits and fleece
    • Create and maintain detailed tech packs (construction, measurements, materials, trims, performance requirements)
    • Drive fit development through fittings to optimize comfort, mobility, and silhouette
    • Manage prototypes, sampling, wash approvals, and shade consistency
    • Lead daily vendor communication to ensure clear execution and on-time progress
  • Fashion, Trend & Fabric Expertise
    • Maintain deep knowledge of fashion trends, consumer behavior, retail dynamics, and fabric innovation (athleisure/outerwear)
    • Research and stay ahead of new materials and performance technologies
    • Test and improve fabrics for handfeel, durability, and performance
    • Partner with the Fabric Manager to refine core fabric platforms and drive material innovation
    • Translate macro/micro trends into brand-right, commercially viable product
    • Collaborate with Design on silhouettes, color, and materials aligned to brand DNA
  • Merchandising, Line Planning & Market Strategy
    • Conduct competitive market analysis across knit and fleece categories (trends, pricing, whitespace)
    • Use sales performance data (margin, sell-through, returns, customer feedback) to inform decisions
    • Build seasonal line plans, SKU architecture, and assortment strategies
    • Balance core, seasonal, and newness to support growth and innovation
    • Support pricing strategy based on product value, complexity, and market positioning
    • Partner with Planning, Finance, and Inventory to align to forecasts and business targets
  • Operations & Product Development Execution
    • Own and manage the product launch calendar and alignment with seasonal strategies and key commercial moments
    • Ensure on-time delivery in the right selling windows with Operations/Production/Inventory
    • Proactively manage timelines and dependencies; resolve risks early
    • Ensure product readiness across development, QA, merchandising, and marketing ahead of launch
    • Drive cross-functional alignment for successful, on-time launches (with Production as a key execution partner)

Requirements

  • Strong obsession with product, fashion, and detail across fabric/fit/silhouette/finish
  • Ability to connect product decisions to market performance (commercial outcomes)
  • Demonstrated capability to lead technical development and launch execution cross-functionally

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with performance-focused fabric development (knits/fleece) and fabric innovation
  • Strong merchandising/line planning skills supported by sales analytics and customer feedback
